No. It's not about the chocolates, roses, or stuffed animals. This year, it's about the bling bling.

It may be more than an over commercialized day. But after spending an entire day at work till 8 and forced to go have drinks at hard rock with your boss cause you don't have any plans for the night and then to have coffee with old highschool friends and end up back home to bed for the next day of work when no ones there at home anyway...makes you wonder is it really anything but an over commercialized day.

JAC: You should realize that Valentine's Day is also for guys to pick up emotionally vulnerable girls who don't have boy friends. If that's over commercialized than call me Ally. Hehehe.

CCF: The Hard Rock is quite the rip off for anything compared to other fine dining places. Personally, I've never been there myself but I've heard it's rather expensive for an unlavish meal, so I guess the same applies to their alcohol. I'm sure if JAC went to a lesser known place, he would've probably saved SOME money.

What bugs me most is why on Valentine's Day? Why do we have to designate a day for "love" when couples can do it on the other remaining 364 days? Do we need to be reminded once a year?

Legends, shmegends. I never really had a reason to celebrate it. So 100% of the proceeds stay in my pockets.
